Is Your Middle Schooler Just Surviving or Truly Thriving?
Pick Your Program
As parents, we desire to raise teens who don't just get by, but truly thrive in life. We dream of them living each day with health, happiness, and a clear sense of purpose, moving confidently towards their full potential.
But the journey through adolescence, that pivotal stretch between childhood and adulthood, throws new challenges their way that can feel overwhelming to both them and us:
- A body and mind that seem to change daily
- Mood swings
- A longing for peer acceptance
- Uncertainty about who they are and who they want to be
- A desire for more space and independence
- Self-consciousness
- Academic and social pressures
- Surface-level friendshipsÂ
- Heightened levels of stress, anxiety, and loneliness
- And… a sense of not feeling known or understood by the very people who love them most— us.
While some of these challenges stem from growing up in a digital age, many can be attributed to the significant rewiring happening in their developing brains.Â
Â
Here’s what's vital to understand: The most significant periods of brain development occur during the first two years of life and adolescence. This means that your child's brain is undergoing its last major surge of development right now. And…the brain connections forming today will not only shape their capacity to think, feel, learn, and socialize during their teenage years; but will lay the foundation for how they connect with others, make choices, plan for their future, and respond to life's inevitable challenges as adults.
Â
This is a critical window, and like many dedicated parents, you likely feel the immense desire to guide your adolescent well. You might also find yourself wrestling with the pressure to "get it right," yet feeling unsure how to best navigate these complex years. In today's demanding world, finding time to search for truly helpful advice can feel impossible, making the temptation to simply hope for the best a strong one. If this sounds familiar, know that you’re not alone.
Â
But what if a program existed to ease that burden? A program where you and your teen could engage together in interactive content specifically designed to help navigate adolescent challenges and empower them to thrive in life?
Introducing WE THRIVE
A fun and interactive wellness program designed specifically for 7th and 8th graders, and you! Our program mission is simple: to strengthen your family bond, build your teen's resilience, and promote overall well-being during this transformative time. Through engaging content and activities that span 7 dimensions of wellness, we'll work together to cultivate Wholesome home Environments, positive Thinking patterns, healthy Habits, meaningful Relationships, a strong sense of Identity and purpose, a clear Vision for the future, and effective Emotion and stress management skills.
Imagine your child:
- Thinking critically, solving problems effectively, and approaching challenges with a growth mindset.
- Adopting habits that support healthy brain development and physical wellness.
- Confidently navigating social dynamics and building meaningful friendships.
- Developing a strong sense of self, understanding their unique strengths and values.
- Developing a spark for the future, exploring their interests, and beginning to envision a plan for their potential.
- Managing stress and emotions with resilience and healthy coping strategies.
- Strengthening their connection with you, built on open communication and mutual understanding.
WE THRIVE isn't just another after-school program. It's an investment in your child's overall well-being and future success, built on the most powerful predictor of their thriving: a strong and supportive relationship with YOU.
Â
Here's what makes WE THRIVE different:
Interactive & Engaging:
Forget boring lectures! Our program utilizes short 3-5 minute video teaching segments followed by dynamic activities and the opportunity for meaningful parent-teen discussions.
Hands-On Learning:
We believe in doing, not just hearing. Through practical exercises, teens develop tangible skills they can apply in their daily lives.
Evidence-Based:
Grounded in research, WE THRIVE equips your child with knowledge and skills based on best evidence and clinical practice.
Christ-Centered:
Interested in what the Bible has to say on the topic? Each segment is integrated with Scripture to provide guidance on thriving God’s way. Â
As a parent, you are still the most influential person in your child's life. WE THRIVE empowers you to harness that influence during these critical middle school years, building a stronger bond and equipping your teen with the skills and resources they need to flourish.
Don't wait until the challenges become overwhelming. Enroll today in one of our many WE THRIVE program types and give your 7th or 8th grader the gift of a strong foundation for a thriving adolescence and a successful future.

Hi, my name is Kristen, and I am the founder and CEO of The Center for World Impact. A few quick things you might want to know about me:Â Â
I am a Parent: I am the proud mother of two adolescents, one in high school and the other in college. I know firsthand the challenges and opportunities that middle school youth and families face.
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner: I have clinical experience caring for adolescent youth in primary care, the emergency department, and other community health settings. I understand the physical and mental health struggles that adolescents face and the neuroscience associated with their developmental changes.Â
I am a Professor/Academic Leader: I have spent over 20 years in higher education, teaching, leading, and developing academic programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate level. I know how to develop successful educational programs that foster student learning and produce positive outcomes.Â
I am a Christian: I have spent my entire adult life as a woman of faith and spent over 5 years serving adolescents through youth ministry.
